YOUR dreams matter!
The ripple effect of one dream and one dreamer is amazing! Think about this. Where would the world be without Steve Jobs? No iPhone, no iPad, no Mac Books, no iPod… 80,000 full-time jobs would vanish.
What about the indirect impact? The tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and programmers who’ve built apps, repair shops, and more to support Apple products. The millions of people who see Steve Jobs as the inspiration behind their careers, businesses, and life. Needless to say, our world would be quite different!
What about you? What about your dream? Where would the world be without your dream? You may be thinking “I’m not Steve Jobs, though”. Which is true but you are still you! To quote the late great author, philosopher, and genius Dr. Seuss 🙂 “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is YOUER than YOU.”
I’m sure Dr. Seuss would agree that your Dreams matter!
You may or may not change the world as Steve Jobs did, but you will change your world. You will affect those around you, your family, your friends, and most importantly, yourself! Like Steve Jobs, our world would be drastically different without YOUR dreams.
All dreams start as a seed. As you consistently water your seed and ensure the seed is in it’s proper environment, eventually the seed grows until it becomes a fully grown tree. Over time, an entire forest can be made from one see alone. All it takes is consistency and patience.
Here are a few pointers:
1. Remind yourself that your dreams matter. There will be times when you feel like your dreams don’t matter, and when you lose belief in the possibility of your dreams. When this happens, quickly remind yourself that they do. Not only for yourself but your family and the world.
2. Don’t despise humble beginnings. We all have to start from somewhere. Whether you’re somewhere is dead broke or filthy rich, appreciate where you are and be excited for where you’re going. Your dreams matter because they WILL change the world.
3. Write yourself a letter. If you’ve struggled with believing in your dreams. I recommend writing a letter to yourself. In this letter tell yourself why your dreams matter, how they will change your life and affect your family and those around you. Truly involve yourself in this letter and watch how it affects you.
Dream On!
